Some inspirations:
The seppuku of a woman, a wife, as a method to beg pardon for her husband's sentence. I read something of the act of performing seppuku as replacement for someone else in ancient times, but that's a dude swap case.
Or a concubine/wife who performs tsuifuku to follow the death of her master/husband after avenging him.

The size of the art and positioning of the Lady give the feel of an ancient Japanese artwork. She is too fit and noble to be just a damsel but is someone able to take revenge. A epic and beautiful scene.
